These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CitiGrow website and digital products operated by CitiGrow Ltd ("CitiGrow", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing our website or purchasing any digital product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

CitiGrow currently provides digital cultural reading products through this website.

Current products include, but are not limited to:

• The Shanghai Archive — a one-time digital purchase that unlocks Full Access to the Archive for all published Shanghai routes beyond the free preview stops.
• Gift Pass — a prepaid Gift Code for The Shanghai Archive. The purchaser sends the Gift after payment; Archive access begins only when the recipient redeems it.
• Deeper Shanghai — a one-time digital purchase that unlocks our premium Deeper Shanghai media library beyond the free preview content.

Other products or services referenced in previous materials, archived pages or promotional content are not part of the current public offering unless we expressly make them available again.

If you purchase The Shanghai Archive for yourself, digital access is normally activated immediately after successful payment, subject to payment confirmation.

If you purchase a Gift Pass, you can send the Gift after successful payment. You do not receive Archive access. Archive access begins only when the recipient redeems the Gift Code.

No physical goods are supplied.

Your purchase grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the unlocked content through the CitiGrow platform for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Access continues while the service remains available, unless terminated because:

• you breach these Terms;
• we are required to do so by law; or
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from continuing the service.

This is a one-time purchase for Full Access. It is not sold as a lifetime or lifelong licence.

Your purchase does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

You may not:

• copy, reproduce or distribute our content;
• scrape or systematically extract content;
• record, republish or publicly display our materials;
• resell or commercially exploit any part of our products;
• use bots, AI systems or automated software to reproduce substantial portions of our content.

We may verify purchases using payment records and associated email addresses (including through Stripe where applicable). Sharing purchase access or attempting to allow others to use your purchased access without authorisation is prohibited.

Payments are securely processed by Stripe.

We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

Purchases may be completed using guest checkout with an email address. Creating a password-protected account is not currently required, although optional account features may be introduced in the future.

Prices are displayed in GBP.

Where applicable, UK VAT will be shown during checkout before payment is completed.

No shipping charges apply to digital products.

A CitiGrow Gift Pass is a prepaid digital product. After successful payment, the purchaser can send the Gift from the success page to the intended recipient.

The purchaser does not receive Archive access from the Gift purchase. Archive access begins only when the recipient redeems the Gift Code.

Each Gift Code may be redeemed once. Once redeemed, the Gift Pass is associated with the email address entered by the recipient at redemption, and the same Gift Code cannot be redeemed by another person.

The purchaser is responsible for sending the Gift to the intended recipient. We send the purchaser a return link to the success page. When the purchaser sends the Gift, we email the Gift Code to the address they enter. Sending the same Gift to more than one address does not create additional redemptions.

The recipient should use an accurate email address they can access. That email may later be used to restore access on another device.

Gift Passes are not cash balances and cannot be partially redeemed.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.

Refunds for digital products are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Please read our Refund Policy before making a purchase.

All route archives, written content, photographs, illustrations, maps, films, branding, logos and other materials available on this website are owned by CitiGrow Ltd or are used under appropriate licence.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.

Your purchase grants access only under the licence described above.

You agree not to:

• misuse or interfere with the operation of this website;
• attempt to bypass payment systems or access restrictions;
• compromise the security of the platform;
• use the website for unlawful purposes;
• use automated tools to extract substantial amounts of content.

Where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, we may suspend or terminate access to our services without affecting any other legal rights available to us.

CitiGrow provides cultural reading products intended to help visitors better understand Shanghai.

Our products are not:

• navigation services;
• travel safety advice;
• legal advice;
• professional architectural advice;
• guarantees regarding access to locations, opening hours or site conditions.

Cities change over time.

Buildings, public spaces, businesses, exhibitions, monuments and surrounding environments may change after publication.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep our content accurate and thoughtfully researched, we cannot guarantee that every detail will remain current at all times.

You remain responsible for your own safety and travel decisions when visiting any location described in our products.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to that, CitiGrow shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our digital products.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on this page.

Continued use of the website after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law.
